Navitas Unveils 10 kW DC-DC Platform for 800 VDC Next-Gen AI Data Centers

Navitas Semiconductor Corporation, the world’s first pure-play GaN powersemiconductor company, announced a revolutionary 10 kW DC-DC power conversion platform targeting the escalating power and performance requirements of cutting-edge AI data centers. The new platform utilizes Navitas’ proprietary GaNFastTM GaN power device portfolio and GeneSiCTM silicon carbide power devices to achieve industry-leading 98.5 percent peak efficiency and 1 MHz switching. This new platform provides a new benchmark in power density and efficiency in high voltage cost-effective data center power architecture.

The reference design of the 10 kW, 800 V to 50 V DC-DC platform with an all-GaN implementation, using the advanced 650 V and 100 V GaN Fast FETs in a three-level half-bridge with synchronous rectification, has resulted in 98.5% peak and 98.1% full load efficiency at only 61 x 116 x 11 mm in the compact full-brick form factor. This lends itself well to delivering an industry-leading 2.1 kW/in³ power density.

Designed as a production-ready solution, the platform supports both 800 V-to-50 V and ±400 V-to-50 V system architectures at 10 kW. It integrates auxiliary power and digital control functions to simplify system integration and accelerate the deployment of high-power-density modules for emerging high-voltage DC (HVDC) AI data center infrastructures. Additional technical details are available in Navitas’ whitepaper, “Redefining Data Center Power: GaN and SiC Technologies for Next-Gen 800 VDC Infrastructure.”

“The design platform enables the transition to HVDC data center power infrastructure, supporting the future power requirements of AI workloads that will demand between 100- and even 1,000-times more compute per query,” said Chris Allexandre, President and CEO of Navitas Semiconductor. “Navitas continues to redefine what’s possible in AI data center power, with the 10 kW DC-DC solution giving breakthrough efficiency, power density, and scalability to allow faster and cooler operation while making them more sustainable.”

The 10 kW DC-DC platform is currently being evaluated by leading hyperscale and enterprise data center customers through collaborative development programs and will be showcased publicly for the first time at the Navitas booth (#2027) during APEC, taking place March 22–26 in San Antonio, Texas.
