Intuitive Machines has completed its previously announced $800 million acquisition of Lanteris Space Systems, formerly Maxar Space Systems, significantly expanding its capabilities as a vertically integrated space prime. The deal, comprised of $450 million in cash and $350 million in Intuitive Machines stock, adds flight-proven spacecraft manufacturing at scale to Intuitive Machines’ portfolio, complementing its operational success in cislunar space. Lanteris brings a strong track record of delivering reliable LEO, MEO, and GEO satellites supporting national security, intelligence, Earth observation, and space domain awareness missions.

“This acquisition marks a defining moment in the evolution of Intuitive Machines,” said Intuitive Machines CEO, Steve Altemus. “We previously proved our ability to operate on the Moon. With Lanteris, we add flight-proven manufacturing at scale. Together, these strengths transform Intuitive Machines into a multi-domain, end-to-end solutions provider that can build spacecraft, connect resilient communications and navigation networks, and operate systems across LEO, MEO, GEO and cislunar space.” The combined organization is positioned to support major government initiatives including Golden Dome, Space Development Agency architectures, NASA’s Artemis program, and future Mars telecommunications missions.
