Gemspring Capital Management, a middle-market private equity firm, announced that an affiliate has completed the acquisition of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s polymer chemicals business (the “Polymer Chemical Business” or the “Company”).
The deal includes two manufacturing plants in Houston and Beaumont, Texas. It also covers a research and development center in Akron, Ohio. Goodyear will retain its chemical plants in Niagara Falls, New York, and Bayport, Texas. It will also retain the rights to the products made at these sites.
