Essendant and Hub Group Partners to Launch 48-Hour Managed Delivery Model

Essendant, a major wholesale distributor, has allied with Hub Group. Together, they are launching the Managed Delivery model. This model is a key part of Essendant’s New Way Forward supply chain strategy.

This model combines Hub Group’s large truckload and less-than-truckload network. It also includes final mile facilities across the nation. As a result, it can reach warehouses in nearly all major U.S. markets within 48 hours.

Hub Group’s strong carrier network supports Essendant’s wide distribution. This is done through the Managed Delivery model. It makes multi-stop truckload shipments easier. It also lowers costs and ensures reliable, high-quality service nationwide.

“This partnership enables Essendant to provide more efficient, predictable, and cost-disciplined deliveries to our customers’ warehouses,” said Tim Engstrom, SVP, Supply Chain at Essendant. “Hub Group’s managed delivery expertise ensures we can meet evolving customer needs while advancing our commitment to service with cost.”
