Coherent Corp, a global leader in photonics, announced the launch of a new family of quad-channel integrated circuits (ICs) designed to power the next generation of optical transceivers for cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and telecom networks.
Building on more than 25 years of expertise in high-speed fiber-optic communication ASICs, Coherent is extending its open-market portfolio with solutions engineered to deliver faster speeds, higher efficiency, and lower power consumption-helping operators scale network capacity while reducing energy demands.
The new portfolio includes:
-
CHR2075 – A 4-channel driver for silicon photonics Mach-Zehnder modulators, optimized for 800G and 1.6T pluggable modules.
-
CHR1094 + CHR2094 chipset – A 4-channel differential transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and Mach-Zehnder modulator driver amplifier, purpose-built for 400G ZR/ZR+ coherent optical links.
All devices integrate a 10-bit monitoring ADC and can be fully controlled through a 4-wire SPI interface, enabling superior performance and operational flexibility.
