HARMAN and ORBCOMM Partners on Advanced Asset Intelligence and Data Solutions

HARMAN International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, and a leader in connected technologies across automotive, consumer, and enterprise markets, announced a multi-year strategic partnership with ORBCOMM, a global pioneer in industrial IoT solutions. This collaboration is designed to accelerate innovation and expand ORBCOMM’s global R&D footprint, enabling the delivery of advanced asset intelligence solutions for shipping lines, over-the-road trucking, and cold-chain logistics.

As part of this partnership, HARMAN and ORBCOMM will establish a state-of-the-art extended development center in Bangalore, India—one of the world’s fastest-growing technology hubs. This facility will serve as a catalyst for scaling ORBCOMM’s research and development initiatives, with a focus on platform engineering, data science, and AI-powered analytics.

By tapping into HARMAN’s deep expertise in building end-to-end connectivity ecosystems, intelligent data platforms, and Agentic-AI accelerators, ORBCOMM will enhance its ability to deliver real-time, actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, safety, sustainability, and resilience for its customers worldwide.
