Trimble® and InvenSense, a TDK Group company, announced a strategic collaboration to develop an advanced navigation solution that pairs Trimble’s cutting-edge ProPoint® Go positioning engine and RTX® correction services with TDK’s SmartAutomotive™ Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). The integrated solution aims to deliver superior accuracy and reliability for positioning and navigation across a wide spectrum of automotive and Internet of Things (IoT) use cases.
Trimble’s ProPoint Go positioning engine is engineered to deliver precise orientation and positioning data by leveraging globally accessible Trimble correction services. Featuring quad-frequency GNSS support and the industry’s first Automotive Safety Integrity Level-C (ASIL-C) certified correction data, the solution is designed to enhance automation in driving systems while prioritizing safety. It also delivers robust positioning capabilities for next-generation IoT applications, including field robotics and mobile automation.
TDK’s advanced IMUs incorporate a triaxial accelerometer and triaxial gyroscope into a compact six-axis motion sensor that captures linear acceleration and angular velocity with exceptional accuracy. Built on TDK’s proprietary MEMS platform, the sensors offer an ideal blend of high performance, small footprint, and low power consumption—expanding possibilities for integration into intelligent, connected systems.
