TerraPower and HD Hyundai Partner to Expand Natrium Reactor Supply Chain

TerraPower and HD Hyundai have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the development of the global supply chain for Natrium® reactors, a next-generation nuclear energy solution designed to enhance grid reliability and clean energy production. The collaboration is set to drive the deployment of advanced nuclear technology worldwide by leveraging TerraPower’s expertise in nuclear innovation and HD Hyundai’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

The Natrium® reactor, co-developed by TerraPower and GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, integrates a sodium-cooled fast reactor with a molten salt energy storage system, allowing for flexible power generation to complement renewable energy sources. This advanced design offers increased safety, efficiency, and reliability in nuclear power production.
